À l’issue des dernières élections municipales, la Commune de Montjean présente à ses habitants la composition du nouveau conseil municipal. Une nouvelle équipe au service de la commune

Le conseil municipal est l’instance centrale de la démocratie communale. Il représente les habitants, débat des sujets importants pour la vie locale et prend les décisions qui engagent l’avenir de la commune : budget, équipements, travaux, services, vie associative, patrimoine communal et orientations locales.

Avec l’installation du nouveau conseil municipal, Montjean ouvre une nouvelle étape de sa vie démocratique. Les élus auront pour mission de travailler dans l’intérêt général, au service de la commune, de ses habitants et de la qualité de vie locale.

Objectif de cette page : permettre à chaque habitant de connaître clairement les membres élus du nouveau conseil municipal et de mieux comprendre l’organisation démocratique locale.

Le conseil municipal est l’organe qui prend les décisions importantes pour la commune. Ses membres sont élus pour porter l’intérêt général, débattre des sujets locaux et voter les délibérations qui structurent la vie municipale.

En d’autres termes, ce sont les élus qui définissent le cadre des décisions communales qui auront un impact concret sur la vie quotidienne des habitants.

Et après l’élection ?

L’élection du conseil municipal constitue la première étape. Le nouveau conseil se réunit ensuite lors d’une séance d’installation pour procéder notamment à l’élection du maire, à la fixation du nombre d’adjoints, à l’élection des adjoints et à l’adoption de certaines délibérations de début de mandature.
